Wallpaper looks effortless only when the work behind it is careful: walls prepared flat, the first panel set plumb, patterns matched across every seam and edges trimmed cleanly at ceilings, trim and outlets.

We install wallcoverings in powder rooms, stair halls, bedrooms, ceilings and commercial spaces, and we'll tell you honestly how a chosen paper will behave before it goes up.

Wallcoverings

Wallpaper and Wallcovering Types We Install

Each material handles differently. Paste-the-wall, pre-pasted and unpasted papers each need a specific adhesive and technique, and natural fibers behave nothing like vinyl.

  • Designer and traditional papers
  • Non-woven, paste-the-wall papers
  • Vinyl and commercial wallcoverings
  • Grasscloth and natural fibers
  • Murals and panel sets
  • Peel-and-stick (on suitable surfaces)

Pattern Matching

Straight Match, Drop Match and Random Match

Straight / Random Match

  • Pattern aligns horizontally panel to panel
  • Or no alignment needed (random)
  • Generally less waste
  • Simpler to plan

Drop Match

  • Pattern steps down on alternating panels
  • Needs more length per strip
  • Higher waste allowance
  • Careful layout around features

Match type affects how much material each strip needs and where seams land — see the ordering checklist below.

Why Professional Installation

What Professional Installation Protects

01

Your Material

Designer papers are costly and often dye-lot specific. Careful handling avoids wasted rolls.

02

Precise, Consistent Seams

Correct adhesive, booking time and installation technique help seams remain secure, evenly positioned and visually consistent.

03

Long-Term Adhesion

Proper wall preparation and primer help the paper stay put — and come down cleanly later.

How We Work

Our Wallpaper Installation Process

  1. 01

    Review & Measure

We review the wallpaper specifications, measure the walls and confirm the quantity.

All Time Paint & Plaster craftsman measuring and cutting grasscloth wallpaper before installation
  2. 02

    Wall Preparation

Old paper is removed where needed, walls are repaired and sanded, and a wallcovering primer is applied.

    Technical Notes

Liner paper may be recommended over uneven walls or for certain delicate papers.

  3. 03

    Layout & Hanging

The first panel is set plumb, then each strip is matched, smoothed and trimmed around trim, outlets and ceilings.

    Technical Notes

Grasscloth and natural fibers show visible seams and color variation between panels — this is normal for the material.

  4. 04

    Final Inspection

We inspect seams and edges, clean adhesive from surfaces and walk through the finished room with you.

Material Guidance

Things to Know Before You Order

Grasscloth

Natural fibers vary panel to panel and seams remain visible. Not recommended for splash areas.

Murals

Panels are numbered and sized to a specific wall. Send exact wall dimensions before ordering.

Ceilings & Stair Halls

These require scaffolding or ladders and extra layout planning, which affects scheduling.

Preparation

Wall Preparation, Liner Paper and Removal

Good wallpaper starts with a smooth, sound, primed wall. We remove existing wallpaper when needed, repair any damage to the drywall underneath and apply a wallcovering primer suited to the paper.

Over uneven or heavily patched walls, or for certain delicate papers, liner paper may be recommended to create a uniform surface.

Before You Order

Wallpaper Ordering Checklist

Before purchasing your wallpaper, confirm the product specifications and send us the information so we can review the quantity and installation requirements.

  • Measure the wall width and ceiling height
  • Confirm the roll width and total roll length
  • Check the pattern repeat and match type
  • Make sure every roll comes from the same dye lot or batch
  • Allow additional material for pattern matching and trimming

Making the Choice

Is Wallpaper Right for Your Room?

  • You've chosen a paper suited to the space
